Climate Action in the Infrastructure Bill

On Monday 11/15, President Biden signed the bipartisan infrastructure bill into law. It includes more money for climate change than any legislation in American history. It includes many investments needed to address the impacts of climate change and move us to a net zero economy. In summary, it provides the following funding:

  • $65 billion for clean energy and grid-related investments

  • $50 billion for climate resilience and weatherization

  • $7.5 billion to build a national network of charging stations for electric vehicles

  • $55 billion to expand access to clean drinking water

  • $21 billion to clean up Superfund and brownfield sites and cap orphaned oil and gas wells.
