2021 - A year of persistence and dedication…

Here’s a video recap of CCL Hawaii’s activities and successes in 2021. The year was punctuated with action - chapter meetings, engagement with our Members of Congress (MOC) and their staff, calls, letters, Letters to the Editor, op-eds, presentations, talk shows, and collaborations with other climate and environmental groups.

Our membership, now over 900 across four chapters (Hawaii Island, Honolulu, Kauai, and Maui) contributed heavily to calls-to-action from CCL National. Our chapters were able to effectively bob and weave as we navigated the constantly evolving politics in D.C. and shifting strategies on effecting a price on carbon pollution. We ended the year with many feathers, including MOCs who actively support pricing and a co-sponsor of H.R. 2307 - Rep. Kahele!
